New TA f/u Boss mechanics
Yeah, my guild group actually had to give up because we just couldn’t get it done, the spiders spawned endlessly… does Anet really not bother to check before they play the new mechanics?
The spider spawn was always endless(or effectively endless anyway). Did they change the spawn locations so the spiders always spawn up front now?

Now when you range, almost all the spiders will aggro and attack you, before you would jsut range the tree and not hit any spiders. You cannot do that anymore. A single hit on the boss will aggro 95% of the spiders, and they will respawn.
I too had this happen with my group the other day. We noticed one of the vetern spiders fell through the hill to the left and went invulnerable. So it kept spawning ENDLESS waves of the little spiders. We actually sat there for about an hour killing them before we gave up. It was ridiculous and it definitely has to be a bug if multiple people are having the issue.
Please fix this issue. I enjoyed doing that path until fairly recently.
On a side-note, the npc, Morrigu is fairly frustrating on this path as well. Causes more issues than necessary.

Just tried it and we were not able to beat this boss.
If you attack the tree with single target ranged skills, all spiders get aggroed.
If you try to kill the spiders in front of the tree, you get an endless spawn of spiders.
Hopefully, TA is one of the dungeon getting an makeover. Since Morrigu really isn’t helpful at all here

You are absolutely right, but here she is running towards the tree to melee him or kind of that (ranger?) and pulls spiders a lot of times ^^
This ain’t very helpful at all I’d say since you already have to deal with a bunch of them.
But this is going off-topic. The thing is, either the spiders are bugged or ANet silently changed this encounter to a non-PUG-friendly thing which I really can’t believe (one should be able to do all things with all kind of class combinations )

Actually, dungeon NPCs die way too slow in my opinion. They’re useless anyway, and bring nothing to your party except for terrible AI and aggro mechanics. I’d rather have them die even faster in some occasions, because that way at least they don’t screw up your fights…
But yeah, Anet should have learned their lesson from making NPCs with terrible AI necessary to progress from in Factions.
They took a step in the right direction with Kormir. I mean, you can say what you want about the useless kitten, and the role she played in the most god awe ful storyline in any game ever, but at least she didn’t die or aggro stuff in missions. She just tagged along and gave a party-wide speed buff every once in a while.
That’s how the NPCs should be: useless but at least they don’t screw up your progress by being useless. They should just be THERE and not aggro anything or attack, because they’ll most likely do a terrible job anyway.
