New hairstyle looks worse in-game
This happens with every hair type (even armor). The models in the character selection look better than in-game. It’s more noticeable with darker hair colors. This one looks particularly bad, though, in comparison. I would really like if they made at least your own character model look as good in-game.
On the already existing hairstyles it was barely noticeable, but on this new one it is rather evident. I wisht hey’d do something to at least increase a little its quality, since it’s a gem store item…
Hm – do you have maxxed all settings for best graphics? I do and I can’t see a difference :|

I have it on Best Appearance. However, look at this other topic. I’m not the only one who’s experiencing this.

Hrm, it looks like it’s around the fringe areas that it’s having the most degradation. It’s like the semi-transparent portions of those hair strands are being rendered as completely transparent.
It is a bit odd that they would render it at a lower quality than what is in the character select screen… I guess maybe they thought the performance in the game was more important whereas you’d want to look at your character on the selection screen. But they should at least provide an option of rendering it at the select screen quality. If setting the graphics to the highest selectable option is still getting this quality, it’s obviously not the best.
It’s actually a bit funny, I was thinking the other day that my in game characters didn’t look as nice as the ones on the select screen, but I didn’t take time to do the comparisons.
As far as the hairs go, the asura female one with the long ponytail also has no physics whatsoever associated with it, although I’ll concede that it is already somewhat gravity-defying as is.
