I have 2 computers – a Desktop and a Laptop. Both are very fast and have plenty of resources to run Guild Wars 2.

However, after updating to the newest version of Windows 10, both computers started having the same issue. The Issue was resolved after I rolled back to a previous version of Windows 10.

So here is the problem I got after updating to the latest version of Windows 10:
- Loading for Guild Wars 2 became very slow. It increased Guild Wars loading time by about 10x
- After I log in and click on “Play”, the game would get stuck at a black loading screen for a long, long time.
- Whenever there is loading involved, the game would get stuck at a black loading screen for a long time. This happens whenever I enter a new instance (entering pvp match, exiting pvp match, entering a new map).
- I can no longer Minimize / Maximize the game with ease. Minimizing the game would cause my computer to freeze, and I would have to force restart the computer.

I did resolve this issue by rolling back to the previous version of Windows 10.

I don’t think Win 10 is the issue, my system is completely updated and runs with no problems at all. It is more than likely a driver that is conflicting with Win 10 not the game. Make sure all your drivers are updated.

I’ve tried Dota 2, Eve Online, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, and Counter-Strike. And they all ran with no issues.

I’ve tried Dota 2, Eve Online, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, and Counter-Strike. And they all ran with no issues.

That doesn’t mean the problem is on ArenaNet’s end. Lots of people run the latest Win10 without problems, so it could be with your particular installation, with an anti-malware program having trouble after the update (and causing issues with some programs but not others) etc

Create a support ticket and work with Customer Service to troubleshoot. Regardless of why there’s a problem, you want it resolved and they can help.
