Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out. sometimes when going into one of the many instances in the tower it will not let you progress after the first area.

The three sparkling areas in front of you are portals, you have to try, which one lets you pass to the next room

If you wait a bit you should see an ambient(white) spider walking into the correct one.
