Yesterday I spent a large amount of time Running Yaks for my Community (Yaks Bend). I Ran 30-40 Yaks Easily. I stood Immediately Adjacent to the Yaks the Entire time and Defended them from any Monsters/Players that Attempted to Attack them.

I enjoy Running Yaks and Upgrading towers, Its an Excellent way to Help out the Community when you don’t have a Group to Run with. I even Have a Yak Running Build, Heal-Shout Warrior With Pack runes So that I can Stack Swiftness on the Yak as Well as heal him when he is Damaged.

I Hope to One day get my ‘Ultimate Chaperone’ Title. However, I Received Credit for no more then Three Yaks run.

Receiving Credit for Running 3 Yaks when I easily Ran 10 Times more then that is Unacceptable. This Totally saps any Motivation I have to Aid my Community in this Fashion. Why even have the Achievement line if you are not going to Give Credit to those who try to Accomplish those Achievements.

The Bottom Line is Running Yaks in Guildwars 2 is Obviously broken or ‘Bugged’. Either that or there is something I am missing. Maybe I’m Supposed to give the Yak a Kiss before he enters the Tower..? I’m Unsure.

Please Help me Anet. If Running Yaks is not Broken, Please Shed some light on the Situation. Please Explain why I Received credit for Less then One Tenth of the Work I put in.

Takes a bit of history. At launch, getting credit for escorting a yak was much easier. It didn’t require any combat. It was also very rewarding with very little work. So much that you’d almost constantly see 20-30 people following yaks. Many of them bots for gold sellers since yaks were on a regular schedule every few minutes. So the event was changed to require a higher threshold for credit, including a few kills very close to the yak to discourage bots and zerg escorts.
