Guild Wars 2

Since yesterday’s patch (18/02/2014) i can’t hear any voice from my character, other character’s or even NPCs. I hear all the ambient sounds, music, cloth movement, footsteps, fight sounds, but the only “human” sounds i hear are the ones the character do when he receives damage or jumps (those uuu, aaarggg, also from mobs dying).
No guardian shouts, no elementalist attunement voices.
I tested it on my boyfriend’s PC, he have the same problem.
I also tried to repair my client but the problem persist.

Just wanted to say I’m having the same issue here.

I have the same problem.

I am actually having the same problem in pvp. Got killed a few times by the treb at Khylo out of the blue, did not here one “INCOMING!!!!” or anything. The audio was spotty, and did announce a couple trebs, but not most of them.

I have the samme issue here since the last big update. I hear everything but voices.

Same problem since same patch, hearing no voices, fx and music are fine but the voices are off.

Same problem, its annoying not to hear any voice, not even dungeon dialogue on story mode.

I manage to fix my problem. The bug seams to come to the fact that in my Options Menu in Lenguage- Audio Lenguage, my client was market for spanish, even is not any spanish translation of the game, i changed it to english and voila, bug fixed. Hope this could help others.

Yes, i came to said that what magom’s said is correct.
Seems a problem for us, people that use the client in non english regions, just change audio language to english and ready

Just wanted to say thanks to Magom too. Issue solved now. Audio Language setting was also in spanish here ^^. Since I never changed it before, didn’t come to my mind to check that. So, tyvm for sharing the fix : )
