Have been having some trouble with dyes on the Norn Cultural Tier 2 medium armor (Predatory set). I posted a bug report a while back about dye colors not sticking to it, but got no reply. So I did some research myself and figured out exactly what is going on.

There are a couple of dyes that won’t stick – when you apply them, they just revert to the default colors and when you mouse over the color in the dye UI it just says “Dye Remover”. This is only for some very specific dye slot and dye color combinations, and follows:

1) When you apply the Pottery dye to the 1st dye slot (top one) of the Predatory Vest, it won’t stick.

2) When you apply the Moss dye to the 3rd dye slot (bottom right) of the Predatory Vest, it won’t stick.

3) When you apply the Pottery dye to the 2nd dye slot (bottom left) of the Predatory Leggings, it won’t stick.

4) When you apply the Moss dye to the 3rd dye slot (bottom right) of the Predatory Leggings, it won’t stick.

This is only the case for these exact combinations. I can apply any others colors to these dye slots and they stick. I can apply Moss and Pottery to other dye slots and they stick too (even Moss to the Pottery ones listed above, and vice versa). It’s just these specific slots combined with these specific colors exactly and nothing else.

Both the Moss and Pottery dyes are actually both colors that are used in the default Predatory set, though none of the slots above have those color combinations by default… if that makes sense. Maybe the fact that they’re both part of the default color scheme is somehow causing the bug.

If I could get some sort of reply that you’re looking into this, I’d appreciate it.

Hello and thank you for the response! It is indeed on a female; the character is a Norn female Ranger named Vori Ashvar, on my wife’s account which is Netjeru.7096

She’s wearing the Predatory Vest, Predatory Leggings and Predatory Boots, along with the Wolfborn Mask, Seeker Gloves and Emblazoned Shoulders. We’ve tried unequipping all armor and weapons and just leaving the chest piece or pants on, then applying the dyes, but it still doesn’t work.

The only thing I can suggest to try replicating the problem is that after applying some dyes, she used the dye remover tool on the armor to revert it back to its default colors – and after that it wouldn’t work anymore, and just keeps reverting to default color no matter what. When you mouse over those colors, though, it says ‘Dye Remover’ on the tooltip instead of the actual color.

Any other dye colors are fine in those slots, and those colors in any other slots are fine too – it’s just those specific combinations that don’t work. Very strange. If you still can’t reproduce the problem, I could record a video of it and post it up on youtube so you can see exactly what I mean, if that would help?

Were you able to replicate the problem or determine what is causing it?

I just want to use de default colors =S

Same problem. Norn male wearing the whole set. Moos dye and pottery wont stick whatever I try. Please fix!
