Guild Wars 2

After creating a new Norn character an hour ago I have found myself stuck on a map on which the Event does not trigger. Together with other people I am waiting infront of a Gate that will not open. This is especially confusing for new players that do not understand what they are supposed to do. There is also another person with me that claims this event from the norn tutorial has not triggered for several days though I can not certify that.
I already made an support request in game. No result so far.

I made a norn yesterday, and the tutorial went fine. Have you tried a full relog and guesting to another server (while not repping your guild, to possibly help you get onto a different megaserver version of the tutorial)? I know that’s helped people in the past when they’ve had similar problems.

Also, you can only report bugs and such in game; there is no support request. You have to make a support ticket here on the website, but hopefully you won’t need one. But bugs like this should definitely be reported via the bug report in-game, which you already did.

Yes, I tried that. However I end up on the same Megaserver ( I know because the same people are there and the map is still bugged).

Yes, I can confirm I was also locked today and tried but ended up on the same megaserver. It is server night time, I believe there is only one instance due to the limited number of players.

It seems this bug is not new. Imagine the impression on someone starting his first gw2 character…

Still stuck… We tried to make people log out to restart the instance, but people just don’t care…

Happening for me as well. EU player if it helps. I’ll try re-logging and see if it helps.

Nope. Still happening. I tried twice, once with my guild repped and once without. No difference.

It seems to be working now (at least it worked for me). But since this problem does not seem new, I think it should be fixed to prevent players from having a disastrous first experience with the game.
PS: also EU player.

But the time I took writing this post was enough time to close the gates. :/
