Greetings! I can’t seem to get the first dash plate to work on my charr elementalist. I’ve tried different weapons, armor, and even turned myself into a clockwork to no avail. I do the dash animation, but end up staying on the plate going nowhere. I’ve yet to try it on one of my alts, but I wasn’t sure if this is a bug or not.

Edit: It did not work on my human mesmer or my asuran guardian either. I was able to make it across using my guardian’s leap of faith skill. However, once inside, none of the other dash pads would work.

Just to corroborate, I had this same issue last week sometime and reported it in-game.

Yeah, it doesn’t work. Wanted to complete it on my mesmer but soon gave up. Logged onto my Warrior and completed it using Sword leapskill. Not how it’s supposed to be done, but worked very well for me. Makes it easier to control where you jump too. So you can try that if you don’t want to wait for a fix.

Yeah, it’s currently bugged. ANet is aware of it and a fix is in the works, but no ETA on when that’ll happen. In the meantime, you can use a Warrior’s Sword #2 skill as Garrisyl suggested, or the Engineer’s Rifle jumpshot skill to progress through the JP.
