After the patch today, GW2 no longer remembers my password.

Also, when I first launch and check the audio device settings it only shows “Default Device”. If I unplug my headset (USB), then the audio device options suddenly become available.

Same is happening here. I tried unchecking all the options, launching, then closing and opening again as admin. Then re-entered the info, selecting the remember name and password options again. Nothing works.

I’m having the same problem. I tried all of the above and also tried deleting

%appdata%\Guild Wars 2\Local.dat

thinking that something might have been messed up in that. Unfortunately, I’m still having the same issue. It isn’t that big of a deal but it’s definitely an annoyance that wasn’t there before yesterday’s patch.

I am also suffering from this problem, the client does not remember passwords across restarts.

Exactly the same for me as OP. Not remembering password and also no option to change sound device apart from default device which is my headset.
