Nothing happens after character creation
Same thing has been happening to me for the past month or so. Since November I have tried creating a new characters on three different computers. I have been able to create a new character only on one of those even after reinstalling the game on the other two computers… Thus, it can’t be account related, is all what I have been able to find out so far.
I sent a support ticket concerning this in Nov, but all I received was “Thanks a lot for bringing this to our attention.” reply. Which I guess means that they had no idea how to fix it / what was going on, or that it’s just not in their priority list… I wonder has that changed…?
I actually went and did some more testing, and in the end I was able to create a new character.
I renewed my IP address which forced gw2 client to authorize my log-in via email. Other than that, I made the same exact steps as moments before when I failed to create a new character.
So, I suggest you to try connecting to gw2 with another IP address. At least it worked for me.
