Guild Wars 2

The Mac client crashes often for me since the Dec 16 deployment. So far it has only happened during wintersday events in Divinity’s Reach but whether that is causal or not (I am spending a lot of my game time there this week so I can concentrate on RL holiday stuff as needed) is unknown. If it is the former there is most probably a bug in the client (this did not happen before the release), if the latter this will probably happen at the next major event (Halloween, April fool’s day, etc). Is this happening to anyone else?

Note that I have never had it happen (at least not with this frequency) at other populated areas. New user areas, boss battles to the level that kills FPS, and such.

The mac version just seems to be crashing more and more.

After waiting 30 minutes for my EBG queue to end I played 10 minutes and crashed, yay.

I usually play on my Windows 8.1 computer, but since I’m traveling, I tried out the Mac client (on my brother’s computer) — and each time I go into the Trading Post (and then it doesn’t load), and then EXIT, the entire game freezes, but still plays audio (music and ambience). I have to use the FORCE QUIT option in the Finder menu.

Yeah, in my experience, the mac version gets worse and worse each time they change anything.

I have confirmed it is not Winterday as I have had the same exact crashes elsewhere. Something with the December 16 update has a problem as it had not been this bad before then. My mac is relatively new and a good setup, so no problems there either.

Playing it under windows is not an option for me. Frustrating since we ponied up our money just like everyone else.

I get the crash all the time , I play WVW with different resolution , different video settings. Frustrating !
Today I just look in the “Guild Wars 2” application ( inside the package) going to Application , open gw2 … And I see a lot of .exe files including “gw2.exe” and others windows files …. And then I see THIRD APPLICATION like Transgameing, Cider etc
I try to repair GW2 under os x Yosemite and after I type the commands in terminal I see the window game start on my screen , and then I play the game , and of the crash was come out
But what I see in the terminal was : “wine server quit”))))
There is no MAC CLIENT !!! It is WINDOWS files transgaming and played with Wine
Im a noob on pragraming , but I know a little bit about those software
So Now I try to instal Wine and run the windows gw2 version .
If you go search appdb. winehq. org you can find that is working
I will let you know if is crashing or not

I have had a few crashes, myself, but I attribute it to bad networking. Should log each crash. Do we have those logs in the application folder somewhere?

Yes you have a log call ArenaNet.log you can find inside your game depending Windows or Mac .

My mac laptop as well crashes during the long duration loading for black lion trading and when i exit out it crash/freezes while as well playing music and sound. I then have to force quit it. Help!

This happened to me today too on my Mac.
I had been playing for about an hour prior then when I opened the tp it froze the game.
After I force quit, I tried to reopen it but now the launcher freezes every time I try to click play.

When you access TP in game it try to access other network resources and that cause a error. Yesterday TP was buggy
