The new Gillscale Pond-event in Fields of Ruin, allows me to get the tracker device after talking to the NPC and fetching it from the pond. But nothing activates. No new skillbar pressing use, when targeting anomalies, cog-icon greyed out and all. I can be alone at an anomalie, nothing happens. Only one (1) char can reset and fetch the device. If I try another char due to non-activate bug, I find no device in the pond, even if first char destroyed the device and I’ve relogged GW2.

Do you mean the Mysterious Device? You must jump through a rift, and then speak to the NPC…or the other way ’round for the Stabilizer.

Got my unusual device, turned it into a rift stabiliser with the help of the char scientist by the pool, visited all 13 spots and got it upgraded to class II.
Something unusual at Gillscale Pond has no reward or achievement for visiting all combinations with the class II rift stabilizer (yet)?
Half expected an endboss or achievement or class III stabiliser or the “scientist” at the pond getting new dialogue.. But.. Nothing?

The going theory is this event will be something like Seis. Updated every few days/once a week/every patch.

It would be nice, though, if there were something listed in the Achievement Panel. Still, there was the phantom Anomaly one, Burden of Choice.

I’ve tried every trick and angle possible, 4hrs ago, not working. I’ve done the device, I’ve done the NPC-talk three times and again, receiving nothing, zero, nada. Something clearly wrong. Especially since it doesn’t work on any other char/alt. even after relog. The fun spoilt for me, I’ll just do it in a couple of days like any other pick-up-a-stick-and-bring-it-to-me-for-a-gold-star -- or when the anet code monkey’s ironed it out.

The Stabilizer has nothing to do with the Anomalies. Just the Rifts. You probably missed the part where you wait during the dialogue.
