Odd Lighting Issue
Curiously, other areas in the game are suffering the exact opposite, being oddly too bright, like https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Really-Bright-Mansion
For the past several days I’ve been seeing some weird lighting effects all around the world. It usually occurs at night, and underground. With the lighting effects, it appears that usually “dark” areas (such as the Ley-Line Confluence or Rata Novus in Tangled Depths) have very realistic night-time lighting: Pitch black, and I can only see my surroundings and character if I have a light source of some kind on my character.
Normally brighter areas (Lion’s Arch, for example) appear very dimly lit, like a moonlit area in the real world.
The issue has NO effect on elements outside of the game world, such as the UI, and usually slowly fades away after about five minutes.
The issue seems to occur if I tab out or rezone.
Lately I have been running Flux, since I play late into the night. I have tried disabling the program and playing with settings, but it has no effect. The issue also started about 3 days after I installed the program.
I have experimented with screen brightness and game settings as well, to no effect.
If anyone knows the cause and/or a fix, please help. My characters are getting very frustrated because they’re constantly stubbing their toes when the lights go out and my Necromancer is afraid of the dark :P
