I might not be understanding what I am seeing, but the on screen damage is not matching what is in the combat log

channelled skills, like mesmer GS auto and engi flamethrower, show stacked damage (damage from when you start using the skill until you use another), not individual hits like the combat log.

Just as me using the #1 glider skill in Bloodstone Fen on the unbound guardian doesn’t mean that I’m doing 1M+ damage with each hit.

with GS auto, yes. until you use another attack, or move from the target for a moment.
