Opening a satchel makes it soulbound
Which Satchel was it? All the ones I found are named, indicating the weight of the armor within.
You can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
Considering the fact that there are people who buy those satchels/boxes and then open them to sell the contents this sounds like you are only telling half the story.
Any attempt to modify a piece of bindable gear will cause it to become soulbound.
Yes I modified armors right after opening satchel so it was my noobish mistake. Still I think there should be information about satchels if they are usable to character so new players like me could avoid mistake. And i don’t understand why armors becomes soulbound if character do not wear them eventhough they modify them. Thanks for replies.
The Wiki is a great source of game information. Whenever you are unsure of an item, mechanic, or other content, you can look it up in the Wiki and learn all about it.
Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.

It has nothing to do with the fact that the armor pieces came from a satchel so there is no need to make any other mentions about them.
Also when you tried to modify it there was a warning. You just ignored the warning and clicked yes to make the modifications. So there is the answer to “why does armor becomes soulbound”. When the game gives you a warning you should not assume it is joking with you.

it has everything to do with satchel because noobs like me can buy them because it does not say if it is usable by the character you play.
The weight of the Armor is in the name of the Satchel, though. If one is unsure of what Masquerade or Winged or Prowler or Feathered, etc. Armor is, one should consult the Wiki or any other source of information. Surely when purchasing, one noticed many different Satchels?

Perhaps you are trying to say that warriors will see a warning on medium gloves (‘not usable by your profession’) but they won’t see a similar warning on the satchel.
That’s true, but irrelevant: after opening the satchel, you’ll see the warning. Further, if you try to upgrade the armor pieces, you’ll see a pop up warning that upgrading will soulbind the equipment.
If you don’t upgrade, you are able to sell the armor pieces on the TP. Most of the time, if you bought using a custom offer and sell using a custom offer, you’ll break-even or profit. (You’ll lose about 10-40%, most of the time, if you instantly buy and instantly sell.)
Regardless, the game is working as intended; there’s no bug.
