All nodes give ruined items now, both in Frostgorge Sound and Cursed Shore.

It’s not related to getting attacked, its happens on every single node, started to happen 5 minutes ago.

I’m on Seafarer’s Rest and it’s not just me it happens to, it seems to be server wide atleast. Lot’s of people experiencing it in chat.

Please look into it asap.

Just came across a mithril node near the Sacred Trust POI in Frostgorge Sound…I had an Orichalcum mining pick equipped and yet, still only mined ruined chunks of ore.

Using the top end gathering utensils to gather orichalcum ore / ancient logs in Frostgorge Sound and everything gathered comes up as “ruined” rather than the right material.

Several other people in local map report the same thing

So there I was, getting daily gatherer at cursed shore when I come across a cypress sapling. Lets gather it with a Orichalcum logging axe! Too bad cant do it, it returns me with ruined log. Tried to buy another orichalcum logging axe, same problem. I dont know whats going on but it’s weird. I said to myself: "Maybe Anet changedsoyou could only gather materials with the same level of gathering tools like, mithril cna only be gathred with mithil picaxes. I dont know, I seriously dont knowbecause it said: Ruined log, try to use higher mining tools.

Same for Desolation – means it’s “world wide”

Same thing just happend to me on Vizunah Square, all nodes of Orichalcum, Omnom berries and Orian wood give ruined materials. Everything was fine up until ten minutes ago

Fort Aspenwood just did the same thing. Looks like a global bork.

Yes, same here and I’m using the Laurel bought gathering tools

since the patch I can’t harvest T5 and T6 materials anymore! Even though I am using the proper gathering tools (e.g. “Orichalcum Mining Pick” for “Orichalcum Ore”) it doesn’t work.

I can attach some screenshots if needed.

Using Orichalcum Tools (I’m blaming the vendor).

They should give ruined only when a wrong tool is used, not when someone is in combat or … ALWAYS like this bug, altough i consider a bug the combat thing also.

same here, no matter what type of tools i use, map is filled with ppl complaining about ruined mats. this needs an urgent fix!

yep, can not do any kind of gathering, only get ruined items and I only carry orichalcum tools. will get ruined results no matter the level of the node

Same for Tarnished Coast. Even using Master harvesting tools give out ruined fiber/ore.

everything, i ruined 5 orichalcum ore, 3 ancient logs, 1 mithril ore, and ghost pepper! best bug ever

in dragonbrand and yeah just hapend to me, i was doing my daily routing farming, i farmed in orr fine, and half way durring farming in frostgorge sound i start getting ruined ores, logs, plants. I switched character and same thing in Orr and frostgorge, it seems to be hapening with tier 5 and 6 mats

same here , even low mats with ori tools are ruined

I just did a full Ori/Ancient wood farm on one character, switched over to do so on another and by the time I get to Cursed Shore everything is turning up ruined despite using Orichalcum picks/axes.
Underworld server here. Definite serverwide bug. Would appreciate a quick fix as Ori is partly funding my Legendary grind and it’s taking long enough without this.

We were gathering correctly a few minutes ago, then suddenly we only get wasted ressources.

Same here. I went to check on the dragon on Frostgorge Sound, ori tools and everything ended up ruined.

I sent a bug report via in-game but I thought will be wise to post it here too.

I didn’t dare to touch orichalcum, just in case >_<

It’s not just the highest end tool that has a problem all of the tools that are appropriate for whatever the resource node is Frostgorge are returning “Ruined …”

I have 5 level 80’s which performed farming Orichalcum Ore, Anient Wood, and plants with no probelms. I logged onto my Engineer which have all Orichalcum farming equipment. Every item farmed be it Orichalcum, Ancient, Mithril, Cypress, all plants returned ruined items. I thought it might be due to my kit i equipped, in this case medic kit so I switched to my equipped items with no change in results. I then logged out and back in with no change. I then changed out my profession to an elementalist, which happen to be in Malchor’s Leap and got Elder wood from cypress and mithril for a node. I ported to Cursed shore and got ruined items from every node. So it seems the cause in Cursed Shores itself, but it must have been very recent because I’ve been in this area for 2 hours prior with no problems.

ye, I read some threads and the community is reporting this bug at Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound. This was definately not happening yesterday.

Nope, it happened in Frostgorge Sound as well and i would bet if i port around, the mapchat everywhere would say as much..

Had the same issue on Cursed Shore with the cypress and mithril nodes.

The resource on the island probably ran out. Which means they needed to get the laboratory to produce the proper probe and ferry it over to the appropriate warehouse to activate it. It happens.

Wait, I may be thinking of a different game.

Am a little glad that im not the only one experiencing this,
Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound.

Threw away all my level 60 tools and bought new ones, still getting ruined materials.

I hit an Ori node in the EB JP on Maguuma and got ori from it. Or at least, I’m pretty sure I did. Regular merchant-bought ori pick.

Last night I only got ruined stuff from high tier ore, trees and plants as well.

Server: Piken Square (EU)
Zone: Frostgorge Sound
Nodes tried: Orichalcum, Ancient Sapling, Snow Truffle (I think)
Tools used: all Orichalcum

The problem is the same here, I tried T5 mats with T5 tools and T6 mats with T6 tools yesterday. I noticed this problem only in Frostgorge Sound area.

Server: Piken Square (EU)
Zone: Frostgorge Sound
Nodes tried: Cypress sapling, Ancient Sapling, Mithril, Verdant Herbs
Tools used: Orhialcum for T6 and Mithril for T5

Still not working here.

Server: Riverside
Zone: all zones with T5 and T6 mats
Nodes tried: Orichalcum, Ancient Sapling, Mithril, Verdant Herbs (basically everything available / sometimes T5 mats work)
Tools used: all Orichalcum
