Ossuary of Unquiet Dead damage bug
Is there any followup to this? I have also posted a request in-game but it’s been over 24 hours and I haven’t heard back.
This bug is blocking my progress through my personal story, and that’s the part of the game I am trying to complete right now.
In-game reports never receive a response. I am pretty sure it states that on the report window. You may, or may not, get a Dev response in your thread. If you want individualized help, you would need to submit a ticket to CS. Top of Page – Support – Submit a Request. Good luck.
Oh, wow. OK, thanks for the heads up. I did see the warning in-game but I assumed that referred only to non-critical bugs.
Hello,
As a followup to this item, I did file a support request as indicated b Inculpatus, and received a form letter directing me to post my report somewhere on the forums, because my input is valued, but don’t expect a direct response.
So to sum up: A progression-halting bug gets a form letter and no resolution.
I haven’t played in 2 weeks now.
I can’t reproduce the issue you’re seeing. Sidekicking is the same across the game—this particular story step doesn’t have any custom sidekicking going on. What is your weapon level and character level? With a L80 character I had a very slight reduction in damage compared to the open world since I was sidekicked down to L76, but I was still killing everything with relative ease.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am level 80, and my longbow is a Rampager’s Pearl Stinger of Bloodlust, required level 80. It is enchanted with a minor sigil of bloodlust. I also get sidekicked down to 76.
I’ve tested this multiple times and the issue persists. Today, however, I encountered different behaviour. The first mob I fought was normal — I did typical 400+ damage. I left the instance, came back in (hoping that it would be permanently fixed), but my second time into the instance, my damage was scaled back down to 20 damage per shot.
Is there a particular critter that’s doing this?
No, it’s unfortunately all the mobs that I try. The first few times that it happened I tried 3 or 4 mobs, and it happened on all of them. Since then I test only the first mob that you encounter, mostly because it takes 10 minutes to take down a single mob.
I know for a fact the Aetherblades with shields. Their name escapes me… Gets a damage immune shield that brings my Thief and necros damage down to 10’s and 20’s the shield DOES were off and I do do normal damage till they rebuff the shield are you POSITIVE you’re experiencing a bug OP? Keep an eye out for the aetherblade’s with shields.

Thanks for the though, but I don’t think it can be that. For one, it lasted for a full 5-10 minutes as I fought the first mob, and I doubt their shield lasts that long. Second, it occurred on every mob I fought, so it would have to be 4-5 aetherblades in a row all with 5 minute duration on 90% reduced damage.
Are there Aetherblades in PS, even? I don’t think so. =/
I suggest you try bringing a friend, and see if their damage gets scaled down too. That’s a tough mission anyway.

I think I encountered the same bug as the OP, with the Risen Plaguebearer/Preserver/Corrupter at the beginning of the instance. My damage numbers were super low, but only while I was between the first few quest objectives. Once I moved forward enough to update to the next objective, they returned to normal. Kinda hard to explain, but it went something like this:
1) I entered the instance, did the cutscene with Trahearne. The quest objective became “Gather additional Pact soldiers along the way.”
2) I attacked the first Risen, but my damage on it was abnormally low. While still fighting it, I moved forward until Trahearne said “Follow us” and the objective updated to “Recruit the Pact soldiers at Lyssa’s temple.” My damage numbers then went back to normal.
3) Same deal with the two Risen at the top of the ramp – my damage on them was low until I got close enough for Trahearne to speak and the objective to update to “Enter the temple of Lyssa,” then my damage went back to normal.
Really weird. I wasn’t able to reproduce it anywhere else in the instance, it was only an issue with those first three Risen/quest objectives.
Yup, I just came in to give an update, as I’ve finally made it through the instance, and my experience almost perfectly models Gomoratoad. I had abnormally low damage, swapped to my longsword on the first mob, it went back to normal, switched back to my longbow, it stayed normal. Next mob, it was abnormally low on the longbow, I switched to longsword to finish it off. Once I got to the objective where we need to clear off the central platform, everything was fine.
So I did get around it, but not without problems on the first three monsters.
