Greetings.

Currently, if you equip an outfit you have options to remove the helm, shoulders, and gloves (by unchecking these items in the ‘Wardrobe’ panel), but the only change that is reflected is to the helm only. Is there some future fix for this since it seems misleading to have just the helm removed and not the other two? I have attached screenshots so you can see what I mean. I’m not sure if this was discussed before so if it’s been talked about previously I apologize.

There is only one option to show/hide part of an Outfit, and that’s the Helm.

Showing/Hiding Shoulders or Gloves is an Armor option only.

I’m afraid this is not a bug. Sorry.

Good luck.

A friend told me you could hide the gloves on the chef outfit, and I just confirmed in-game. Though there doesn’t seem to be any explanation as to why some allow it and others don’t.

The reason most likely has to do with the Chef’s outfit having been town clothes before the Wardrobe’s debut (and thus having been designed as individual pieces), combined with it being culturally modeled so it acts more like armor pieces than most thus making it easier to apply armor rules to.
