Outside of the map
This has happened to me a lot, most frequently when I’m fighting on a shore, beach, or just near water in general. Probably over 10 times, and I’m a level 75 mesmer primarily using staff. Happens enough to be annoying, but not enough to make me swap weapon set. Sometimes I’ve been lucky enough to find a spot where I can stand above the undermap water and reverse the process to get back out, but mostly requires a waypoint extraction. I have also managed to teleport myself into a tree trunk using this skill, though that was in a beta weekend, not sure if it’s still possible.
Seems to be a fairly well known problem. Pretty much only advice I can give is to avoid using it near the waters edge. Not that helpful I know.
Well, this happens to me A LOT…. I get stuck under houses, under the ground, under water, in mountain sides… you name it I have been stuck in it, the most common way out as you say is to use a Way Point, and that cost in game money, and I am tired of it. I want compensation for the countless times I have to spend my hard earned coin on a bug that should not exist. Every Mesmer I speak to has had it happen, some more frequently than others but I am really sick of it, I shouldn’t have to use a different weapon set because of poor programming.
Please fix this issue, it is more than just a bug it is ruining my gaming experience and I am beggining to dislike playing.
Like turmi said, it happens a LOT!! when you are on the edge of water/lake/whatever.
I might be switching from mesmer to something else since I have to pay each time to get out.
