I don’t know if anyone has ever reported this bug but I for some reason got killed when I went through a portal. I didn’t do anything stupid or weird I just walked casually into a portal.

This happened to me only once previously and I was totally shocked.

I am trying to get the Lifetime Survivor Achievement (get to Level 80 without dying) so if this portal problem keeps happening to me, the Lifetime Survivor Achievement will be practically impossible for me to achieve.

I would really appreciate it if the Guild Wars2 Team went into my account and removed my 1 death (this Portal Death is the only time I have died in this account).

What type of portal? Mesmer or Asura? Because the Lifetime Survivor reset when you change maps, so if you’re talking about the asura one you’d better not use it.

“Lifetime Survivor Achievement” works slightly different. You are not awarded for getting to lvl80 without dieing, but rather getting 500.000EP in a single session.

A single session is defined, as not leaving the map you are in (no portals!), not logging out (no disconnects!) and not dieing. (Yes, the first two requirements are ridiculous.)

Interesting, I just realized I got this achievement. I’m sure you can get it from DE grind. Pretty sure thats how I got mine.

Thanks for Lifetime Survivor info everone but does anyone know if the portals are bugged and cause you to die?
