This kitten is starting to drive me crazy, I’m not one to complain fast on forums, but this needs to get fixed!

Allot of times I join a party when others are joining at the same time, it bugs out and I dont see them, tho I can still see their party chat, their icon isn’t showing in the list, making me think the party isn’t full yet.

This can also happens when someone joins randomly, that he just doesn’t show up, even in dungeons I had people running with me that didn’t show in the party, even tho they where standing next to me (the name was not blue, tho i could talk to them in party chat)

Another bug that is really driving me crazy is that allot of times when i enter a instance to start it, the party bugs out for the rest of the team. As in, they cant join it.
Just now tho, I was the one who could not enter. (CoE) (another FA player actually had the same problem with this group) I try’s logging, guesting on a other server, dif character, rejoining party countless times, nothing works.

Ive been thinking that maybe its me, being connected from Europe, or maybe its the FA server :/ I just dont know. But it’s been going on to long now to not write a complaint in here.

Also hoping that others, with the same problems, reply to.

True, I opened the instance (on SoR) where Vizier was in. Like he wrote, another player from FA in team with us were not able to join us inside dungeon. The other player from FA also guested on SoR itself but he had the same problem.
Strangely, I experienced the same last week. I was in a team for Twilight Arbor exp (it was not me opening the instance that time) and more than one player from Darkhaven were not able to join us. However, after a couple of days I teamed up for TA with another player from Darkhaven and nobody had issues.

Having same problem on Gandara trying to get into CoF P1. Can’t get into dungeon despite the rest of the party getting in – Nothing happens when i click on Enter Exporable…. Tried wp-ing and getting in again – still same problem.

ANet… please fix this.

I’ve been having the same problem quite regularly. I thought at first it was something to do with guesting, but I just had it re-occur with people all from the same server. 4 could go in to the dungeon, I could not. Relogging and leaving/rejoining the party did not fix the issues.

Just had the same problem with an all guild run of CoF on Darkhaven, 2 where able to get in but 3 of us couldn’t. This also happened yesterday morning trying to do Molten Weapon Facility, all guild again, when this one happened we decided to go and do a FOTM 20 and we all got in fine. I’d like to know what the hell is going on.

I’M SERIOUSLY SICK OF THIS

I was able to tolerate this until now since in the end after a load of re-logging and re-joining the dungeon eventually lets my party into the same instance. This has been going on for at least a MONTH.

But now, I CAN NOT ENTER ANY DUNGEON AT ALL. All 4 other party members are able to enter the same instance while i can’t, even after re-logging, different character, rejoining party, resetting the client, making sure party members are in the same servers (EU) and many other things. I thought this was an account bug as I was the only one getting the problem. There were other situations where I joined the party, no one could start the dungeon, the popup appeared but choosing exp or story mode did nothing. When I left, the party was able to start the dungeon and enter… Wasted half a day trying to figure this out. I don’t normally use forums but these party glitches are seriously impacting.

This sounds similar to problems my friends and I have had lately. Party invites not working, people joining the party, but not showing up in the party list or having their nameplate change to blue text. When they are in the party, moving out of radar range sometimes makes their party icon “black out” as if they’d left the zone. We’ve also seen the dungeon issue described in the OP.

It seems to happen when some party members are from Europe. We’re all on a NA server (Yak’s Bend), but the issues seem to be mostly with EU players.

Right now I can’t even get back into a party we tried to reform due to party chat messages being delayed 2-3 minutes for some of us.

Have had this issue happen a few times over the last week or so… quite annoying x__x
so far the only fix i have been able to find is disbanding the party and re-inviting everyone…..which is “ok” but annoying as hell especially when you are dealing with cross server partying.

Getting this almost every group now – progressively getting worse (was just happening every now and then a couple weeks ago). I can’t seem to see any specific pattern.

Thats the only thing i didnt try last time, cause CoE is a dungeon that gets contested, and the only world that had it open went contested as i joined.

Since a few where already inside, disbanding was not an option for them.

Yesterday I had different bugs, some party members where appearing as offline/invisible :/ and lots of network error messages when trying to join a party, or enter the MF dungeon

It is getting worse, a few weeks ago it was sporadic, like once every 5 party’s, now its more like every other party i try to join bugs out in one way or the other.

And it might very well be that it’s because we are connected from Europe. I remember a week or so ago, friends list, guild list and party’s didn’t work at all for Europeans on a NA server.

Yep same problem with me as well. I get an invite to a party, and I cant see a single person in it. Then after a while it forces me to leave party. I can invite people to MY party and see them, however, but that is really inconveniant seeing as most parties I am in arent started by me.

Youre right. This NEEDS to be fixed.

I have the sames issue too. Glad to see others have it too, thought I was the only one.

Unable to enter dungeon is most annoying. It is not even random, doesn’t work at all for me joining groups across server. I am on NA server. The only time i got it to work was if one of the members was on the same server as me. I really don’t understand…why for some people is fine but for others, like myself, it happens all the time. Nothing i do can reset the issue. The way party/instance was implemented or changed just seemed flawed.

So yesterday i tried to run an instance, got to last boss, only to be disconnected before starting. When i log back in, i can no longer enter the dungeon again. So basically the rest of my group finished and i got no rewards, just watch in disgust outside the dungeon.

now i will take a break from this game until this gets fixed. The game just doesn’t have much meaning anymore if i can’t run instances. End game content is basically just dungeons or pvp and i don’t pvp. I just find it pointless to start a dungeon, spend the effort and if i get disconnected i have to start back at beginning again.

I’ve had a few problems with this myself. Everyone who is having trouble send a ticket in so they can fix this. Tell your friends to do it as well.

Though the last time it told me the party I was in is full, and I am still in the party, though I can not use party chat and it says I am not in a current party though other members say my icon is still present.

It seems the problems started with the new content was put up. Or shortly there after.

This is a huge problem that needs to be fixed ASAP. It’s making dungeon runs pointless.

I am a unique case, I guess. NA player on an EU server.

The dungeon bug has been in place for me for about a month, it is as described above. I cannot enter dungeons with a party about 50% of the time unless I either get up to the portal to enter or guest on another server.

The party bug, however, is kitten me the kitten off. I’ll be in a party, everything will go well. Either I change maps or enter a dungeon and suddenly, no portraits, no names turning blue, but I can still talk in /p. I will be kicked out of my party about every 15 minutes or so for an hour. My poor long suffering boyfriend just invites me back.

Now. The party bug is annoying by itself…but it’s also getting worse by kicking me out of my guild. I cannot use /g, it doesn’t show I’m in a guild and it says my guild is a guild of 1, which isn’t true. I’m really angry.

Edit: Had a “serious error” when in Eternal Battlegrounds. After that, parties are completely kittened. I cannot enter a party, period. I’m not in a guild anymore. All I can do is /w.

Anet. FIX THIS. I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE NEW SOUTHSUN STUFF. I WANT MY PARTIES BACK. NOW.

This is just continuing to get worse for my friends and I. Two European (Netherlands) friends I play with daily haven’t shown as online in my friends list or party for the last week or so. They usually appear in the party list, but have blank level/profession info, and show no blue dot on the map. Hovering over the portrait in party only shows their account display name. Any other info (char name, prof, level) only shows up when we are in the same map, but the blue map/minimap markers are still missing. This part of the problem seems to happen only(or at least almost exclusively) with Europeans.

There have been more and more issues with party members not appearing in the party at all, but still being able to chat. I was invited to a party with two friends, but I could see neither in the party. It appeared as if I were not in a party, but chat still worked. Anyone getting this particular bug seems to randomly drop out of the party, but is not able to realize this themselves due to never appearing to be in it. This problem I have seen with both European and American friends.

Actually being able to play GW2 with my friends is becoming a daily ritual of breaking up parties and relogging, just to get a situation where we can actually see each other in a party.

Same problem for a week. I can’t do dungeons. At all. Every party is plagued with bugs to the point that we just can’t run. Symptoms I’ve seen:

1) I join a party, but no player icons show on the screen (making me think I’m not in the party… except I can see party chat).

2) Attempt to enter dungeon = ‘Network Error’ (this has happened to me and other players.

3) A player joins my party, I see an icon for them, but their Class/Level are blank and they appear offline (even when they are chatting in /party). This is not just their visibility status – when someone manually chooses to appear offline their class/level still show in the party interface.

4) Randomly kicked out of dungeon instance (but still in party, usually). This has happened to just me, or to my entire party. Usually mid-fight. We’re just…. kicked, and everyone’s saying ‘wth happened?’ or ‘where did you go?’

same here, have this bug for a whole week, 80% time cannot see the team members and cannot go into dungeons. and i tried to re-log and re-join, didnt work at all

Would be really nice if someone could actually look into fixing this.

Me and my wife are having this problem all the time now, its making playing such a chore to constantly be doing our own ‘bug fixing’ by rejoining, guesting and re logging to try and make it work, only lately even that isn’t working… I now cannot enter any dungeons AT ALL.

We really don’t know what to do we need Anet to say they will fix this but they wont say anything – we need a bug fix on this really badly!

i can confirm to having these issues as well. it has never been this bad. cannot join teams inside dungeons at all at the moment…usually you’re able to work around it by relogging, repartying, etc. but not even that works now. so sick and tired of this ****.

It has actually gotten worse today. Portraits have started going black as I move away from the party members on the map.

It is annoying, most of the time it is easy to fix though, just kick the affected person from party and reinvite…

Started happening to me too. Even rezoning and having the “Join party in Dungeon” menu pop up. BUt when I click it, the window disappears and I stay where I am and not enter the dungeon…

As mentioned, it can usually be fixed by leaving and rejoining the party. However sometimes someone gets put in a “bugged slot”. Say there are three people in the party, the bugged person won’t see anyone else who joins. So the 4th member joins the party and the bugged person leaves and rejoins. Then the 5th member joins and that bugged person will have to leave/rejoin yet again. Now the party is full it can become even more fun for the bugged person. People might leave after a dungeon and still show in the party. They might get replaced and it still shows the previous person. Etc. Basically this party will never work properly for that person no matter what they do, leave/rejoin/relog/delete their local.dat. It will appear to work until any changes are made to the party composition/popups are hit or miss.

Additionally sometimes you can get in your own dungeon that people can’t join, or you get your own different instance to the one the other people are in. When this happens you have to destroy the instance because it becomes super permanent. You can usually do this by logging a different character. Fractals seems a bit more difficult. Sometimes, you get this permanent different fractal and you have to:

1. Leave Lion’s Arch.
2. Guest.
3. Walk back into Lion’s Arch while still guesting and hope the new party prompt works.

This is pathetic, just because its been a year since the party bugs in beta doesn’t mean we need to celebrate by bringing them back. 45mins to get 5 players into a fractal is kittening terrible. And heaven forbid they DC then everyone is screwed.

Yep, just had this issue. I remember this problem 9 months ago before I stopped playing. Just came back a week ago and this problem is STILL not fixed?!

So today I can’t even get into COF. Full party that we’ve had four of the five try opening/guesting. Completely destroying the party and starting over. When we do get a prompt, it doesn’t work for anyone.

Party members that cull/move far enough away in fireheart rise become blacked out portraits in the party. Not good.

Having suffered for a while not being able to see others who are in my party, recently I have not been able to see their blue dot on the map unless they are within about 100 yards of me. I could just about live with all this but now I am getting really annoyed because I have suddenly started having the issue of not being able to join the rest of my party in dungeons.
It defaults to only allowing me to enter story mode, which then spreads to affect everyone in the party. I then go through the motions of trying things like leaving party, re-logging, breaking and re-forming the party, swapping toon, some of which sometimes work.
Has anyone found a reliable way around this bug? I am suffering this a lot and I feel my friends are suffering because of me.

Yeah this has been going on for quite some time, would be nice if it were fixed as it seems to be getting worse :/

Same problem. I am on NA server and the party is EU… when I try to join them I got a “Network error” pop-up. :/
