TL;DR:
Use VPN to update and switch back once you finish updating!

GUYS, I’VE TRIED EVERY METHOD I COULD FIND AND TRADED EMAILS WITH THE SUPPORT TEAM MULTIPLE TIMES AND STILL NO LUCK

BUT I FINALLY FIXED IT

So i tried the fix and it didnt work, how ever as i was scrolling down the comment i saw : Vryzakis ’s post and it said to use a VPN

WHICH I DID AND IT FINISHED UPDATING IN FEW SECONDS!!

YES!!!!

and worry not, you don’t have to play with vpn for the rest of your life because once you finish udpating, you can just switch back and turn off the vpn

p.s its better to not sign in when you updating with vpn just in case someone steals your detail

Yo ! so 2 years later in HoT and this demon problem has once again shown it’s face ! … attempted all of the above suggestions .. but may simply be waiting on a ANet fix again.
