Hey, sorry if it has been posted elsewhere buuuuut…
(yes I know the taunt goes through blocks and such, this is not the same)

If you have Resistance, (such as active of warrior Healing Signet) and you get Taunted by the ranger pet, even when the taunt runs out you are stuck targeting the pet.

Only way to get rid of it is to kill the pet, or maybe if the ranger swaps pets. Dying and respawning does not fix it, and going out of range does not fix it to my knowledge, though I haven’t tested it.
I guess I should also note that you are never forced to autoattack the pet, you just simply cannot target someone else. All other players display a yellow name tag.

It is extremely annoying in PvP since I like to use the Healing Signet in heavy condi scenarios, (hello 10 stacks of burning) only to be made useless for the entire game by the ranger pet until someone else kills the ranger for me.

Yep, its impossible to change target for a good whole minute after being taunted. This is gamebreaking and has a few things that cause it besides resistance.

Yeah, I can only imagine when HoT comes and all the Revenants pumping out long duration Resistance start to see this problem first hand, and often. Not to mention several classes besides Ranger will have access to Taunt.

Not many things give a long duration of Resistance right now, so I feel like this goes a bit unseen.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon! It has gotten me killed several times on warrior already, and when Taunt and Resistance become more prevalent… :/ I can only imagine what the forums will look like!

I tested it today again with a friend to see if the problem still happens after the patch.

It does.

Ways to Detarget Pet:
-Ranger Dies
-Ranger Swaps Pet

Does not Detarget Pet if You:
-Kill the pet
-Move to the other side of the map (Friend stood on Wolf in Spirit Watch, I was at Bear)
-Die (you respawn with pet still targeted)

I hope this gets fixed before HoT. :/
