Okay, this is starting to kind of bug me… Why is it that my Personal Fractal Level keeps lagging behind? As in it hasn’t incremented upwards as much as it should have.

From what I recall about the Personal Fractal Level counter:
1) Each successful completion of a fractal that is at your maximum Personal Fractal Level will increment the counter by one, thus allowing you to continue doing them sequentially towards the maximum level of 100.

2) Each successful completion of a fractal that is above your maximum Personal Fractal Level when triggered by another member of the squad will increment the counter by one.

I have completed 1-51 thus far which should mean I can do 52. Yet my Personal Fractal Level, for whatever reason is at 51. Which means I have to run 51 a SECOND time to get the ability to choose 52. This has occurred a number of times in the past while working on the Casual and Core Fractal Hero achievements. It’s kind of a big annoyance when I just want to pop in and work on the next level and I have to devote extra time to it because my counter is lagging behind.

I recommend taking before/after screenshots, since I can’t replicate the issue you are seeing:

• Each session, at least one person in my regular group is doing a fractal at or above their personal level.
• Each time, they increment their level by +1.
• Each time I get a friend to spawn a level above my own, I increment +1 (even though that person does not remain in the party to complete the fractal).

Providing before/after screenshots won’t help you replicate the issue. It’s basically either ANet’s servers eff up or they don’t. It’s random and for the majority of the time they do what they’re supposed to do and increase the level properly. But they have messed up on the counter probably 6 or so times thus far.

I have never heard about this issue/bug ever.
To level up you have to play the same level like your personal or a higher one. Finishing level 51 when being 50 or lower just rises your level +1 and when you achieve level 51, you have to do it again to become 52 although you have done it before while not being 51. It is not the case that you can level 1-51 in the order you want and insist on going ahead.
When you reach max level…you have to play this level to reach next max level ^^

Yeah, the problem is, that it’s happened multiple times in the past when doing level appropriate fractals sequentially, so it’s not just from skipping around.

I never encountered this problem myself but I’ve ran into one person who claimed that this bug had happened to him for several scales in the 20-50 bracket while he was doing the fractal hero achievement. He just had to redo the ones that didn’t count for him. So I think this is a thing for a few people.

I know this is trivial but don’t leave a fractal too early upon completion. At least wait till the return to lab window pop up.

I pretty much always wait until the window. I know you can leave early by leaving the party, but I never do that.

Regardless of what any of us think is going on, your next steps are:

• take before|during|after screenshots
• create a customer service ticket

No one else (outside of you and your guildies) can confirm the issue or replicate it. That means you need to work with support and they’ll need whatever data you can get them to identify the proximate and root causes.

If you want to share those screenshots here, so much the better to allow the possibility of a crowd-sourced solution, too.
