Personal Story Arc: Forging the Pact (62) broken
pretty much one of the npc’s gets bugged, doesn’t follow me. so i can’t end the quest.
stuck there for days… also http://www.facebook.com/GuildWars2/posts/10151098539424209 people also complain about it.
Treaherne will not follow me with the researchers to the southern exit. He appears to be stuck on a boulder. The quest is impossible to continue without Treaherne’s presence.
This is a lvl 62 (i believe) story quest, and I am a Sylvari.

It is broken for me as well.
But the issue is that the game will randomly crash, referring problems with the login server.
When I do this quest, a problem happens after I am looking for survivors in the ruins and come across the first camp with the dead Priory members in it.
After clearing the area and the quest log updates to find more survivors, Trahearne won’t move from the area. The other NPC will follow, but Trahearne won’t.
If I continue without him and go find the next set of survivors in the cave, after the quest updates and the NPC dialogue stops, the whole set of NPCs teleport to where Trahearne is. If I go back to that area, they’re there but they won’t follow me at all without Trahearne so I can’t exit/escape with the survivors.
I’ve already sent a ticket in but I’m putting this here too for additional feedback from other players.
During “Forging the Pact”, the accompanying NPC “Trahearne” will become completely unresponsive. He sorts of just gets “stuck” and stays in that “stuck” phase. It does not seem to occur only at certain parts of the terrain, but at most areas in the instance. I cannot progress my storyline as a result.
Is this intentional? Is there a trick to this? Or is it a bug? Is anyone else experiencing this?
I managed to get out of the mission by walking into the cross-hatched red area that’s outside of the mission map, which teleported me out. I restarted the instance, and got through this time without the NPCs going off on their own. Not sure why they bugged out the first time around, but the bug is apparently erratic in nature.
Yep, I got this too.
He got stuck while walking to the exit to the south after rescuing the guys in the cave. No way to continue quest. I even managed to skirt around the outside to the other side of the blocked gate but it still didn’t trigger an event.
Is the same for me.
During the first part of the mission NPC “Trahearne” dosen’t folow me.
Instead, in the second part of the mission all NPC disappear and appear out of the cave. For this reason I can not complete the mission.
No trick. Just broken. I have the same issue as well.

This is exactly what happens to me. Got 3 deaths trying to complete the mission and wasted a lot of time. Please fix, but concentrate on getting hacked accounts back to their rightful owners so I could play with my friend. That is more important.
same here 1 day ago … already sent a bug report ^^
I will try again tho (it seems that Broom.2561 managed to make it the 2nd time)
Dear god, I give up on this quest, 6th time trying, 4 times Trahearne gets stuck on a wall. 2 times game goes down for maintenance. Please fix, till then, I’m sad panda.
It seems there are a lot of problems with the Personal Story lately, I wonder if they got enough testing, because sometimes is just with “normal” progressing, not doing strange things at all. That shouldn’t escape tests ):
Just adding another claim to this thread.
Trahearne got stuck ~20 meters from the cave exit when escorting the scientists out…rather annoying!
He amd the research team just stood there…looking at the exit…nothing could be done to urge them onwards!
To get out I also went out-of-bounds.
Just had this happen to me. Most annoying since it means it’s unfinishable.
Yep. Same issue.
Same issue here as described, I didn’t try doing it again because the first waste of time was enough for me to move along. Wanted to give the thread a bump so it will be eventually fixed and I can continue my sTory.
