Hey, I have seen a few posts regarding this story back around November 2012 time. The bug I have encountered is the same as what others have posted but I have found that the first wave can not be completed because one of the Icebrood Fish gets stuck in the ice in the ‘out of bounds’ area on the map.
Although, exiting and re-doing the story can fix this problem but I had to do this twice before it finally worked on the third time.
