I’ve noticed a lot of escort/protect quest throughout the zones I’ve completed bugged especially here in my current zone Timberline Falls. Starting with the Moot event the Skritt never try to steal ale and water buckets dont work on drunks but you can still complete event by repeatedly clicking on tables(not a lot of fun but whatever).

Then theres the escort the Whisper agents to the attacking Gnawls where they just dont move or mobs never come to attack them and the only alternative is to abandon the area the unfortunate side effect is that the waypoint nearest will remain contested making it unavailable (in which it is still in a contested state for last 24 hours that I know of).

My point being as the personal story is a huge part of the game for both players and marketing and its astounding to me how an aspect of the game could be so over looked throughout the beta process at the very least they (Arena.net) need to have an in game customer service, GM or whatever that can provide a means of resolution so we aren’t kittenblocked in progression till a fix for a fix they said they already fixed.

I agree. I held off on doing my story line. I decided that I would spend a Satuday working on it and emersing myself in it. Then I came upon this part. It is frustrating. I have now attempted it 4 times. According to other posts if you keep the main guy alive you can complete it, but I have been unsuccessful in keeping him alive. There is this one wave of undead that just pound on him. I have now spent 6 hours trying to complete this quest. It is difficult to begin with, and totaly frustrating to come to the end and find that you can not progress because of a bug.

I have found a work around that was worked for me. You must clear the entire cave before going back and killing the abomination. Then walk slowly to the end killing grubs as you go. It worked for me I hope it will work for you.
