I am doing the personal story chapter “The Battle of Claw Island”, but I am stuck at the point where you are supposed to shoot the Orrian Warship with the Trebuchet. The Trebuchet doesn’t fire, no matter where I turn it, always just displaying the error message “You cannot fire the weapon in that direction”. I already submitted a bug report for this, because I thought I caused this by leaving the trebuchet to fight off some mobs that were attacking me (it had worked fine before). But I just did the thing again and it still only showed the error message (although I never left the trebuchet). I cannot complete the step without the trebuchet.

I experienced this bug myself today, I got around it by swimming out to the ship and destroying it with my spear. Very easy.

Agreed with the workaround quoted above: both trebuchet bugged out with the same error for me. I swam out to the ship and fireballed it till it sank. The chain continued as normal from there.

I have also had issues with being unable to fire the trebuchet. Then I became stuck and could not even leave the trebuchet so my only way was to go to Heart of the Mists to leave. I returned to the instance and this time at the trebuchet part, I couldn’t even use it at all and then I crashed.

Just to clarify, I became stuck at the central trebuchet. The left trebuchet works fine. Perhaps as a bug fix, the central trebuchet could be completely disabled?

having this issue right now. treb says cannot shoot in that direction.. cannot progress in story.

Having the same problem! Please fix it!
