Guild Wars 2

About a year ago, I completed the core personal story by defeating Zhaitan.
But now, after finishing the current Living Story chapter, One Path Ends, the core storyline on my character has been rest back a few missions. It has been set back to the storyline mission Against the Corruption.

Is this an intentional thing? Like they made some changes to the missions/lore and want players to replay it to have a cohesive experience? Or was this a completely random bug?

EDIT: I’m the only one that this has happened to, as someone in a GW2 facebook group has posted that they have the exact same problem.

This is certainly not intended. You should contact support.

They changed the personal story back in 2014, converting into the episode format. At the time, they left out the chapter involving your greatest fear, which was added back a year later. Depending on what you had completed, your progress was reset. If you remember finishing the story in 2014-2015, that’s probably why.
