Guild Wars 2

I can’t make it out of the water with the stone scabbard to complete the escape with the scabbard part of the quest. When traveling in the water I can be downed/equip a weapon kit and drop the scabbard and it floats in the water but as I try to leave the water the scabbard just disappears. I’ve tried just waiting underwater still in the green circle on the mini map but that doesn’t complete the quest either.

Am I doing this wrong or is this quest bugged? Pretty frustrating not being able to continue my personal story

A workaround that I haven’t tested yet is to swim right up to the edge of shore and drop it, then exit the water and pick it up again.

It’s definitely bugged. I have the same problem, and I’ve tried it four times now, I posted a thread about it yesterday. I’m just giving up until it’s fixed.

Having the same issue here. Sent an in game report about it.
I tried several different things to get the sheath back into that circle and nothing works.
As soon as you leave the water the object vanishes. Hope this gets fixed soon..I already ran this quest 4 times.

Yes! This just worked, I’m guessing the issue happens when you exit the water you “surface” for less than a second and lose all your skills. I think thats causing the scabbard to bug out. Thanks for this brilliant idea!

I got the scabbard out of the water but Sieran kept giving me the “go find it” dialogue. I just started running all around inside the green circle until it went into the cut scene – which happened to be near the shore. Also had tried dropping it but that didn’t help. Screen shot attached.
