I finished Unholy Ground with my husband (we were on the same quest). He was the one who initiated the instance, so when he left I got booted to the world before I could choose my reward. I don’t have one anywhere in my bag or in the mail and I don’t know how to get it back.

This was FINALLY a reward I wanted – the Avenger’s bow – is there any way to get my reward? I’ve already advanced to the next chapter, so I can’t simply re-do the instance.

I wouldn’t be so concerned except the quest reward for that mission was a bow with the same skin as the Seraph Bow. It’s my only chance to get it without being level 80 and spending over 60K karma.

Is there any treasure box icon in the lower right of your screen? Usually pending rewards are listed here and can be reclaimed afterward even after leaving a story quest instance. If it is not there, may be it is a bug and you should report details to customer support.

Unfortuneatly this is a game feature to kick everyone out of an instance within 10 seconds of the instance creator leaving the zone.

Ask your husband not to leave the instance before you pick your award next time.

Could you start that mission again on your own character or did it advance you to the next story point, in that case it could be a bug that anet should fix.

I’ve sent in all the details in a ticket. There wasn’t a treasure chest above the map. We were on the same instance and I chose to advance my story, so I can’t re-do the mission. Thanks for the replies (and yeah, lesson learned about who leaves what instance and when – heads up on that, btw -_-)

I got a response today, in fact, and it was someone apologizing that I couldn’t complete the event but they’ve fixed a lot of event issues so could I please go back, redo the event, and see if I could complete it.

The problem is I DID complete the event – I just got kicked form the instance before I could select my reward. I’ve updated the ticket and am awaiting a response. It’s too bad they didn’t actually read my issue before responding and just assumed it was “I can’t complete X story quest”.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the response. My issue was that I had just completed a zone and then decided to quickly leave before veteran mobs respawned on top of me. When I loaded in to my new zone, the quest screen was gone and I did not receive the reward.
