So a couple of minutes ago i had a nice fight with some engis and thieves in our home borderland and i got ganked, so used the Citadel Waypoint to respawn and when i ressed there i saw my pet burning down till its HP went down ( Not sure if it was actually a burning condition as we cant see the conditions our pets are suffering from ). I’ll provide screenshots next time it will happen, is the first time i saw it but asked in mapchat and few rangers have seen it happen to their pet aswell. Ofcourse its not a big issue as you are at a waypoint and pet will regen its health to fullest but still reporting it as a bug.

Pets can suffer from the infamous slight incline/slope fall damage cascade bug that players do.

I’ve had my pet die pretty much instantly attempting to navigate around slopes and hills and such.

Odder still is that after ‘dying’ this way if far enough from the ranger, they don’t ever regain health – they stay dead until swapped.

Only thing I can think of that may be similar to what you’re describing.
