Pet stow away doesn't work
Your pet comes out any time you take damage or enter combat. You can put him back shortly after leaving combat (or if you just took fall damage, immediately).
It would be nice if there is an option, but I most definitely don’t want it disabled. Would also be nice if it didn’t function for fall damage, but only damage from mobs or players.
Exactly. But I don’t want that. Because the pet dies too much and I just want him gone. It annoys me and my team players to keep reviving the pet. In GW1 you could choose if you wanted the pet out or not and a ranger was just fine without one.
…If you don’t want a pet then why are you playing a ranger? It’s a key component of the class.
I want the bows and range. I’ve always been a ranger fan but I want to decide if I go beastmastery or not. I don’t like how I cannot decide this in GW2 anymore.
If your pet seems to die alot get a bear pet they can tank a fair amount.
There are other classes that can use a bow, though, such as the Warrior and Thief. Pets are a Ranger’s cornerstone, so if you don’t want pets, then you’re probably better off with one of those.
Regardless, pets don’t need to be revived anymore. You either switch them out and they come with full life next time you switch them in, or they just revive after battle. Take that as you will.
Well, I prefer ranger. And I want to decide myself if I go beastmaster or not. He draws enemies in an inappropriate situation and it’s really not what I want.
Yea, now they changed something. Now I have to 60 seconds until I can switch him out again after the first one died.
I’ll try the bear. I also made a Thief. But my ranger is my favorite. ANet, please change it. I want to decide myself.
Working as intended. I love my pets, you should learn to love yours aswell.

I’m playing a Ranger too, and i LOVE my pets…but there are some – very rare – moments I also would like to able to constantly stow my pet.
F.e. when I’m trying to get to a Vista I prefer not to have my pet jumping around my legs, irritating me. So I stow it away…but when failing a jump and taking the slightest bit of damage – bammm, pet is back
