Pile of Phantasmal Residue that we get from the last quest didn’t drop when I did the story for my 2nd character.

I did not receive a second one either.

Confirmed, I didn’t get one either. Definitely a bug.

I did not get my 2nd phantasmal residue as well.

But i did encounter the same “bug” (intended ?) on my twink just right now.
Have only not gotten the phantasmal residue, but everything else.

I didn’t get it on my first char.

confirm: not getting it on run-through with second character.

You don’t get it because it’s in the “meta-achievement” you get for completing the episode and you obviously only get that bag once.

You get all the OTHER components on each character… so you may be right, but it’s still a bug. Either you ought to get the phantasmal residue along with the rest, or you should get all the components only once.

Also, considering I have 5 80s I’m running this on… it would be so much better if those components stacked…

No, it’s working as intended. It’s simply a weird design choice to hand everything out during the quests and the last item over the episode-achievement.

I have enough alts too, good to know they don’t stack so I can just throw them away – Probably won’t need more than one backpack anyway.

Does it make sense that you can get every item multiple times except one? No, that doesn’t make it a bug though. It’s simply stupid.

I’ve only done it once, but I received the Pile of Phantasmal Residue twice. Sadly, they don’t stack….not sure why.

I got it one at the end of the Episode, but I had received one previously by talking to Rox after completing the Plan of Attack episode. So, at the end of the entire Episode, I had two.

So, it is possible to get more than one per account. It’s possible to get more than one per character.

Not sure why it’s not in the final rewards for completing the entire Episode on alternate characters, but it might be possible for those alternate characters to get a second (or third) one from Rox. (I haven’t played through it on another character, yet.)

I didn’t get one on any of my alts that ran through the story either, until I ran the “Foefire Cleansing” instance half a dozen times to get the three achievements. When I finished I notice a pile of phantasmal residue in my inventory.

I have no idea if re-running the Foefire Cleansing instance on every alt will yield a pile of phantasmal residue or not, but I don’t plan on making more than one of the backpacks. Someone that plans on making multiple backpacks may want to re-run the instance and post as to whether it worked or not.

as of 31/07 the bug is still there…

Alts do NOT get all the intended items to make a back peice.

Mission complete = No PR
Spoke to Rox @ end = No PR
Spoke to all NPC’s @ end = No PR

I had similar issue where first toon got all rewards, second got all but for last chapter, so I have two of each of Mysterious Seed, Ley Line Infused Stone and Vial of Sacred Glacial Water but only one Pile of Phantasmal Residue. Posted here.

SOLUTION:

Someon mentioned on reddit, that for the pile of phantasmal residue you have to speak to Rox after the last instance “Attack Plan”, when you’ve got the Storyrewards.

Doing so will unlock a chat-option, in which she offers you something she has found, which turns out to be a pile of phantasmal residue.

Worked so far on all my toons and i did recive all the storyrelated materials.

Doing so will unlock a chat-option, in which she offers you something she has found, which turns out to be a pile of phantasmal residue.

Ok, I can replay Attack Plan and talk to Rox to get the phantasmal residue on my characters that didn’t get it but, the first character that I took through on release day didn’t get the seed. How do I get it?

So now that I finished the last mission and did not get the phantasmal residue, what do I need to do to get it? repeat the mission or the whole episode 3?

Replay the episode up to the point where you should get the seed, then you’ll get a letter.
