I used to believe the pirate shortbow skin was the same as the longbow’s one. Even the wiki says the same thing: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pirate_Needler
But today i noticed that’s not true, i think it’s a bug. Just go to the hotm and check the shortbow skins. The pirate shortbow is definitely shorter and different from the longbow version. Sadly the pirate shortbow u get in lion’s arch looks exactly the same as the longbow. So ye, another bug.
I’m not 100% sure about this, but i think the corrupted shortbow is afflicted by the same problem (the shortbow is supposed to look different from the longbow version, but it doesn’t).

The Ebonhawke is the same, you used to be able to get the mini version of the Ebonhawke bow in a heart karma seller in Fields of Ruin but its been removed or changed and now no one can get it anymore.. no idea why.

Some people like the long shortbows, i for one do not.

I heard they fixed the corrupted shortbow skin, or at least changed it. Can anyone confirm this?

yep it’s fixed, i showed people with the shortbow fixed, now it’s the correct version, i don’t like it

Can you post a screen of the bow pls (a closeup maybe)? I just wanna see if the string is somehow bugged like in the majority of the bows. Ty

Bumping this thread. They “fixed” the corrupted bow somehow (they took the longbow and made the skin smaller, which would be fine but sadly the bow handle is now too small on the shortbow, but w/e most people don’t care about such small details i guess since everyone seems happy with the new corrupted shortbow).
Anyway they haven’t fixed the pirate shortbow (aka pirate needler). So pls anet fix this bow since it’s pretty much the only realistic looking shortbow left in this game. Thanks.

I love the Pirate Bows.

Or as I like to call them, the Boob Bows.
