I was watching a player do a possible exploit on the Liadri match using a certain class. According to a guildmate of the player, this can be done by 2 classes. It lets the player do damage to Liadri during the 1st phase of the fight. Since I can’t mention names and I don’t want more people abusing it, I won’t post the screenshots here but I will send them to anet if someone can please point me where to go.

It overrides the mechanics of the fight and offers an advantage to the person utilizing it. If they intended for players to be able to DPS the boss during phase 1, even with reduced damage, then most players would probably never let Liadri get into phase 2. It is an exploit.

the same was possible with npcs in wvw roughly a year ago before they fixed that. Why they would repeat that same mistake, I do not know, but yes, that is an exploit.

This match is not built with fairness to all classes in mind. Beat her as a Mesmer if you can and then fight her as a Warrior, and see if you still feel this particular issue is what should be dealt with.

It’s a mechanic that happens to make the fight a lot easier. That doesn’t mean it’s an exploit necessarily, unless someone uses it 100s of times to increase their rate of rewards.

In other words, there are things that are outright exploits and others that depend on how they are used.

Regardless, if you suspect an exploit, always email exploits@arena.net and let ANet decide how important it is. If they think it’s a bug, they’ll plug it and if not, they’ll leave it alone.
