Playhouse Perfectionist bug?
Can’t be downed either apparently.
Well Anet, downed =! killed.
So either fix the text or the achievement, please.
Does it have to be done solo? I did it in a group without being downed and I didn’t get the achievement.
Guildy of mine got the achievement while doing the dungeon with me and 2 others. I didn’t get it even though I didn’t die or get downed, but I had to relog and re-enter the dungeon several times cause of the random disconnects I experience since the patch. Apparently having to re-enter also blocks the achievement.
Same bug here. Did not die, but did not get the achievement.
Please fix <3
entropy. I’m spreading ketchup on a rubber duck, and after that I’m going
to brush its teeth. So there.”-
yea same here i did it twice but got downed in the last part and i didnt got the achivement. guess die has a new meaning now…
We’re aware of the text discrepancy. Currently, to unlock the achievement you must not enter downstate.
Do you only get one chance on your first try?
I replayed this without dying or getting downed and did not get the achievement.
I have just finished the Playhouse and wasn’t downed or killed and still didn’t get the achievement.
Please fix!!
I got it on my 2nd try.
It’s a great achievement, not too hard, not too easy. I soloed it because it’s much easier since there is less mobs that spawn and they’re weaken.
I have just finished the Playhouse and wasn’t downed or killed and still didn’t get the achievement.
Please fix!!
Did you wait until all the NPCs were done talking? The achieve only appears when you get your completion reward choice (chests or scraps), after the NPCs have talked their hearts out.
Yes I did and I still didn’t get it I will retry later on and see if it works.

Bullkitten, and you know it. Would that work in a business, would that work in a court of law? Fine Print, back doors, and world play are used to scam and sue, yet they are legit when brought before the legal system, because in contracts, wording is everything. Anyone who works in retail knows that if a sale sign is still up, and a customer finds it, then we must honor the price as listed. Even if the item has returned to its original price of 4.99, if it is listed as 3.99, then that is what we must sell it for. And make no mistake, Arena Net is a business, and achievements, are a core part of the product known as Guild Wars 2. If said achievement is advertised and we pay the price, they they must give it to us, for we fulfilled the purchasing terms, and bought it as listed; in gaming lingo, we earned it. As such, I expect delivery.
Just tried to get this as well as the one for saving Faren in under three minutes.
Had 3/4th health (valkyrie warrior) and was standing about five feet away from the AOE circles of some of those twisted bug mines, but they went off and downed me anyway. Also freed Faren in under three minutes (was watching the clock) and didn’t get the achievement.
bonus: 12/13 for map invasion achievement despite having done all 13 maps. Often repeatedly. And there’s no list of maps completed, so I get to play them all over and over again and just cross my fingers that maybe I’ll get the right one and perhaps this time it’ll actually register.
To say that this is getting on my last frayed, raw nerve would be a massive understatement.
Update. So I’ve never tried soloing Scarlet’s Playhouse before, and on my first attempt, I got the achievement. I know that it scales up depending on how many players, but generally even with scaling, it pays to have a full party, because having back up always gives you an edge, if only. However here, that philosophy is proven wrong, soling the instance and going with a party is night and day, its almost unbelievable how easy soloing is in comparison. Regardless of this however, I still stand by my word, if the achievement is written in such a way that our actions permit achieving it, then by all means, we must be rewarded with it.
