We were running the first event instance in escorting Explorer Plinx to Caer Shadowfain after a server reset today.

After completing the escort, Champion Risen Abomination did not spawn right away, thus permanently blocking Explorer Plinx events from starting again.

This is happening on Blackgate server. The API is showing that Defeat the Risen abomination wandering outside the walls of Caer Shadowfain is Active, but it never actually started.

He’s there on Fort Aspenwood, but now is in the middle of Fields of Gold, with free reign of the area, and not in that area by Caer Shadowfain with the cannons. There are more extraneous mobs to deal with and it’s a big pain literally. Plinx is off my list of events to do. It’s next to impossible to run away from him since he can practically go to R&D waypoint. I was trying to determine his range of movement, and it’s now huge.

That explains it.

I take it that a lot of people had mistaken this as a bug and not a new feature (now that’s he’s roaming around Fields of Gold and not Caer Shadowfain), because nothing like this was mentioned in the release notes.
