Guild Wars 2

I’m standing where the quest should start for STRANGE OBSERVATION but the starting icon is not in the world. I you-tubed how to do the quest after flying from tree to tree thinking it was above me, but the guy in the video started it at the ground. Bug or am I stupid?

Not a bug neither you are stupid, simply a little fact just slipped out. Look at the Story tracker at the top right, it says you need a mastery before you can progress. Unlock that mastery first and then you will be able to continue the story.
