A while ago I tried to buy gems using Paypal and I got the message that the transaction could not be processed, try again later. I then used my credit card to buy the gems, but about 30 minutes later I noticed that the original Paypal transaction had gone through also, so I had bought double the amount intended.

Since then I have twice used Paypal to buy gems and still got the message that the transaction had failed, but these times I waited, and both times the transaction eventually went through about 20 minutes later.

While this was not a problem for me, it could be bad for someone on a tight budget if they inadvertently purchased double. The failed transaction needs to be cancelled properly, or the message changed to correctly explain that it is delayed, not failed.

Same here – I tried 4x to get the PayPal to process, then after a while was about to try a credit card – When I opened BLT – lo and behold, almost 10,000 gems in my account, I have three disputes through PayPal open, and I am awaiting resolution from Digital River as to their decision to refund. Should Digital River decide to refuse the refund, I’ll never purchase gems or anything else through their service – saying failed, then processing later is fraud, and I’ll look to legal steps if needed.
