Guild Wars 2

So since the beginning of the expansion I have not been able to play the story on one of my characters. The story tells me to go to the Silverwastes and when I get there, no marker is present. Its the very first chapter. Even the npc you talk to at Red Rock to start beginning the mission isn’t present as well even though I personally other people going to where he was and instancing into their stories. I have tried quitting and starting the story again, couldn’t join in another player’s story, etc. I have probably tried like 10 different methods to try and play the story on this character. When I first played the story I was in a party of 4 and only 2 of us got credit for the first two chapters while me and the other guy got stuck on Prologue to Maguuma: Prepare for the next battle against the Mordremoth.

Probably bugged then. A friend of mine was doing the verdant Brinks part with me (the second step) and she fell off a cliff and died during it. I was the instance owner and so we decided that I would finish and go on to Verdant Brinks. We figured the game would put her with me. But she was sent back to the Silverwastes and now she gets an error message when she tries it.

Try making a ticket and talk to support. Maybe they can fix it for you.

Did you make sure you were on the right step before entering Torn from the Sky? I haven’t (and won’t for obvious reason) tested but if you weren’t the instance owner it seems like it would be possible to enter that instance without finishing the prologue which would lead to this problem.

Also you don’t talk to an NPC to get into the prologue instance it is just a green thing outside of red rock.

I have the same problem…my progress is where the cutscene happens, it requires yourself to in the in the instanced part of the Silverwastes but I can’t get back into it.

It tells me to go to the Silverwastes, but once there no marker is anywhere to be seen and there isn’t the little green icon to instance in either.

And I’m pretty sure I was on the right step as I was with the people in my party the entire time killing things and letting the instance owner doing the “talking” with the npcs.
