What am I doing wrong here? Its a Prototype Fractal Capacitor with Defensive slot but MF just refuses to infuse it with both Philosopher’s Stones or Crystals….

Try it in a different order, might help.

Nope, did all the possible options…

You have already an defensive slot (ascended)?
Then you have to use the next recipe: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Beta_Fractal_Capacitor_

They really need to change this. It is so confusing. I had this very same issue. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t craft it. It’s just so unintuitive, and there’s no way in game to figure this all out. It turns into this frustrating game of where-is-waldo in the wiki, as you try to figure out what recipe to use.

I wish they made this sort of crafting more user friendly, so we would to rely less on the wiki.
