Like all good farmers I drop banners once in a while for the benefit of all my fellow farm-mates. But I have just realised a confusing little glitch (or two). When I’ve gone to collect the bonus for MF it comes up on the buff bar as Guild Item Research instead.

Also when I go to refresh a certain buff from a given banner, and the original banner is gone but replaced by another of the same buff type (say from another guild), it doesn’t reset the time of that buff on the bar, but tells me that I have this (fresh) buff, which I actually don’t have.

This is rather confusing and misleading and I’m lead to believe that something about putting these banners up in the pavilion is broken.

In reply to your second point (refreshing buffs), this seems to happen when the new banner’s buff and the current buff are different values. For example, 5% Karma gain and 10% Karma gain. If your current one has one and the new banner has the other, it won’t refresh or replace. Even if the new one is better than your current buff.

Item Research is Magic Find, it’s just worded oddly.

Da Sonic, I would agree, but I’ve had instances where I’ve had both Magic Find AND Item Research buffs active at the same time. But the fact is MF is MF, and item research is item research. I wonder if it has something to do with being in an overflow…
