If any devs see this, I would like to request a simple solution to a problem that, while it is not overly frequent, I have encountered at least half a dozen times playing PvP. It just happened again, and my team lost 504-467, with one of our players glitched in a wall for more than half the match. I understand that typing /stuck reports the position and offers you a choice to waypoint. That solution is useless in PvP, however, as there are no waypoints. Would it be possible to add an option to die and respawn after typing /stuck? You could even credit the other team with 5 points for the kill and make the player wait for the spawn timer, for all I care. That would be preferable to one team having to be down a player for much of the match. Just lost 13 rank points for a match my team very likely would have won if not for the glitch.

Out of curiosity was your stuck teammate a ranger? I had a teammate and one enemy get stuck in matches over the last week or so, all rangers, as well as myself just now.

To add a bit of detail, I was playing on Battle of Khylo near the clock tower capture point and used Ranger’s shortbow Quick Shot, the little hop back got me stuck in the wall of the clock tower right at the top of the stairs at the same height as the capture point itself. From most descriptions it seems to be linked to ranger skills that evade and move the ranger on use if they path into and end on an object, though maybe it is not limited to rangers and it’s just coincidence that all my cases were rangers.

As you said, /stuck doesn’t work.

I tried to log out and back in hoping to respawn but unlike an unranked match the dishonor timer I had to take to log out prevented me from rejoining the game.

What really upsets me is how punitive the desertion penalty is and how quickly it is imposed in this scenario. It took me only about 30 seconds to log out and back in and I can’t rejoin the match as a deserter. If you’re going to be that strict with your desertion penalty, fair enough, but on the flip side I have to be able to trust the dev team that my character won’t be made useless by a bug.

Loosening the desertion timer to only kick in if you are offline longer than it would normally take for you to be removed from a match for being idle seems fair to me. If this is not a desired choice then at the very least some part of this scenario needs to be addressed, either /stuck needs to work or the bug needs to be fixed.

EDIT: My teammate that got stuck got stuck on Legacy of the Foefire in one of the mining carts near the quarry point. The enemy player got stuck on the Eternal Colosseum in one of the large wooden masts holding up the elevated parts of the platforms near the center point. He tried to use an ability that would run him off the edge of the platform to escape and got stuck in the pillar at the corner instead.

My teammate was a necro, I think. He got stuck in the wall of the middle point on Forest of Niflhel.
