Quest Reward 'On Red Alert' bugged
Same thing just happened to me, I had to choose from 3 different rings that clearly had upgrades but when i picked one all i received was an plain potent ring with zero upgrades. I was playing my Elementalist also.
This is still bugged. I read this before accepting the reward (I had a different problem with the quest (which I reported in game…basically, don’t use the anchor until you killed everything on the first and basement floors…do, however, try to draw agro from upstairs to downstairs as they will help to kill the dimensional monster).
I got the knight ring and checked to see that it was ok once it was in my inventory. It was. I then moved it to another space in my inventory and then WP’d to the next story point (claw island) where I decided to equip the ring and found the upgrade slot now empty. Not a biggie, but it should be fixed when you have the time.
I’m bumping this thread because this bug is still happening. It just happened to me yesterday on my Ranger – I chose ‘Potent Ring of the Berserker’ as my reward for completing ‘On Red Alert’, but it only gave me ‘Potent Ring’ with an empty upgrade slot.
I thought it might be a recent issue, so was surprised to see that it’s been happening for so long. As others have said, it’s not a huge deal but it was an upgrade I could have used. I even tried to get the ‘Ornate Ruby Jewel’ from the Black Lion Trading Company, but there are only level 50 versions in there, and as this is a level 46 ring they just won’t work.
Is that where the issue is coming from, I wonder? The jewel has had it’s level changed at some point so when the reward is “looted”, the compatibility of ring level and upgrade level don’t match so we just don’t get the upgrade given to us?
