1H Sword does more damage than a Greatsword? WTF?

Auron is right. Even with similar ilvl any 1H sword will beat 2Hander. I am very sad considering one of the best in-game animations for ranger 2H attacks =/

It’s not so much a bug as it is a balancing issue. It’s from the nerfing of GS back during the BWEs, followed by the buffing of 1h sword. But it does place GS at sort of a weird place.

This is not a bug, if you wanted to let them know about an actual bug then you would have said that the SPOTTER trait in marksman tree is not working at all on anyone (yourself, your pet or people you group with)

GS is a giant utility kit. Evade on the third autoswing, a long range leap, a block/knockback, and an interrupt. The only thing that’s exclusively damage is Maul.

Seems odd to me that a sword as tall as I am is the item I choose when I need to throw myself across a large room, rather than violently destroying everything in said room.

Firstly, GS absolutely need Quickening zefir to be somewhat effective whilst LS seems OK with out it. Plus we have only 1 formidable dmg skill – Maul.

Second, yes GS is a nice utility skill but either is LS (actually LS providing us with more flexibility in form of different OH).

Lol why is there even a discussion on this topic. Everything Greatsword can do the 1hander can do better. t’s auto attack is laughable, and who cares it has an interupt and a dodge on the 3rd auto attack. 1H sword has an escape to, not to mention you can couple that with Horn or something else to have even more flexibility.

This isn’t a bug, its a balance issue. But the vitality talent that increases regen time not working on troll ungent is.
