The Guardian trait Renewed Justice is supposed to recharge my Virtue of Justice with every kill.

It has never worked when I’ve been in The Battle of Claw Island, and I noticed it wasn’t working for me the other day in The Source of Orr either. I can’t recall issues outside of some Personal Stories.

Various respawning mobs (and some non-respawning ones), generally inside PS/LS, have a ‘do not drop loot’ flag. When you kill them, nothing happens. No on kill effects will trigger, including renewed justice.

This just adds more challenge, and makes the game more interesting, though (/s)! It’s like reflects. If it’s a projectile, you really should have to ask yourself ‘can I reflect this? Can I block this?’, because things consistently and reliably working as the game describes they ought to work is just silly, and apparently not a concern for ANET.

The flag for killing something is if it gives XP, not loot. It is very inconsistent though. A Necro can proc Chilling Grasp (or w/e the Master Power >50% HP trait is) but, in that very same line, it won’t remove 3 conditions on a kill. LS, PS, and Boss Blitz are the three biggest offenders of ‘on Kill’ procs but many dungeon areas have this same kind of thing on respawning mobs. I do think that it should be reliable for trait/sigil reasons but most of these mobs have very little HP anyway.

I’m glad someone else noticed this. I’ve been seeing it in almost every instance I enter (I can’t confirm if it’s all instances or not, so I won’t say that it is, but it’s at least the vast majority). Obviously I still think the game is great and well worth playing, but it’s mildly frustrating to craft a support-Guardian build around on-kill procs (for taking on waves of foes) and have it not work in instances, where it really matters.

That said, I know what it’s like to get a lot bug reports from users, so thank you ANet for letting us report these things to you and for fixing as many as you can. You guys make an awesome game, and it’s appreciated!
