Raise the 25 bleed stack limit
I agree, I’m not a programmer of GW2 but unless it causes some sort of system problem, maxing the bleed stacks is kinda dumb.
I think there should be a max for a character, if max stacks are required, but i dont see the point for any max stack, cuz if there is, they should remove the condition damage stats, since there would be no point to getting a bunch of it if its going to be useless when a few people start stacking them, im just thinking about the F1 ability for the mainhand sword warrior, it puts 12 stacks fopr 2 secs, making it useless unless there are 12 free bleed stacks.
Same condition necro level 80. Love the class but on keeps and big bosses, the bleed limit seems low. I can stack up to 12-15 bleeds constantly by myself so 25 seems a bit low to me.
Signed I can easily see how current system would cause this to be an issue. If we are being scaled back in lower regions then for the love of god scale up as well.
Bumped. Condition necro here. Boss fights I’m forced to autoattack on staff (with abysmal dps) if I want to get any reward at all.
I have to agree that something needs to be done with the bleed limit, I can almost fill the 25 stacks by myself (Dual-sword warrior build, ~60’ish% crit with 33% trait + 60% sigil to bleed on crit, at least 80% bleed duration due to traits). Very easy to maintain over 10 stack, fights that last long enough will get to 15 (21+ when I use the burst skill and such)
I don’t get all the people preemptively conceding that it’d be alright for bleeds to cap out under certain conditions. There’s no reason why they should, ever. Bleeds are no more powerful overall (theoretically) than any other form of damage, and so all any cap would ever do is unfairly penalize that type of damage.

As a lot of us already said during the BWEs: The cap on bleed is bullkitten.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)
I’ve read somewhere that if someone has higher condition damage than you and you apply a bleed, you contribute to THEIR bleed intensity, and not yours. You essentially remain at one stack while the other person gets up to 25.
The simple fix to this would be to limit bleed/burning/poison to each individual player. All the other conditions should remain as they are to prevent stacking of freezing and such, otherwise the PvP would be wrecked.
I’m not an 80 Necro yet, but I’m leveling as a conditionmancer because our options are pretty much limited… people can replace our DoTs (loltranquilizerdart) and our minions have little to no survivability save the Flesh Golem. So far all I’ve really been useful for is my wells in dungeons from a PvE standpoint.
Necros and other condition-based classes need some love. :<

Condistions do damage, Direct attacks do damage. Imagine the frustration if the game limited your Direct Damage based on how much damage other players were doing.
‘… sorry warrior, your F1 usually does 2,000 damage but since so many players are damaging the boss it only did 400…’
That is what is happening to condition builds with a cap on stacks.
Putting a cap on DoTs is ‘bad’ and will push players (in big groups) to adopt only direct damage builds/professions.
