Is being able to use pet abilities while downed a game mechanic or a bug?
Is the pet being able to heal through the pet being damaged a mechanic or a bug too?

If they’re mechanics, why are minions killed when downed and not allowed to be kept alive?

It’s not a bug!!!! It reality!! Many Many posts and threads about it. Learn to accept it and deal with it. Minions are summoned, Pets are alive. You are comparing apples and oranges.

Was just wondering why they could use Non-downstate abilities when no other class can.

But i guess thats just apples and oranges, not suppose to be balanced.

I’m no expert on what other profs can use when downed, but in the case of Ranger, the pet heal is a specific downed state ability.

In other words, they are not using a non-downed state ability (i.e. the ability doesn’t exist when not downed) and it is not a bug.

Make a Ranger and have a look.

This is not a bug. In reality a loyal pet would come to the rescue. I know, talking about reality here… but still, it’s not a bug, it’s designed that way. Take it that Rangers have an extra way of dealing with the downed state, just as the Lick Wounds ability for the pet to quickly help resurrect them.

Sounds like you got your butt handed to you by a Ranger and have come to whine. What’s next—a request for a nerf? Google the forums for similar threads and you will see this is an old old old discussion. The bottom line is, it is not a bug and need to be removed from this section and merged with the other similar threads. And yes, as stated, every prof has special ability that other consider unfair or a ‘bug’
